Coronation Street's rescheduled fourth episode of the week was yesterday's most-watched soap, according to overnight figures.

The episode, which saw Tony becoming frustrated with Natasha's interference in his friendship with Maria, averaged 7.7m (37.7%) at 8pm. ITV2's repeat at 1.15am added 126k (5.5%).

EastEnders' penultimate edition of trial week, in which Viv backed Billy into a corner in the run up to Terry's trial, attracted 6.51m (36.3%) at 7.30pm. BBC Three's 10pm repeat added a further 863k (4.5%).

Jimmy's proposal to Nicola in Emmerdale, meanwhile, was watched by 5.39m (37.7%) at 7pm.

Hollyoaks' screening, which featured Clare's dramatic return to the village, took 1.37m (8.9%) in its usual 6.30pm time slot, before E4's first look at the final episode of stunt week interested 627k (4.4%). E4+1's timeshift repeat added 155k (0.9%).

Doctors drew 1.33m (20.7%) for its instalment titled 'Some Romance'.

Five's Neighbours offering at 5.30pm took 1.23m (11.3%), while Fiver's 7pm repeat added a further 145k (1%).

Home and Away dipped below the million mark yet again, with only 967k (6.9%) tuning in for yesterday's outing. Fiver's first look logged 430k (3.2%) half an hour later.
