New Slater heading for 'EastEnders'
EastEnders producers are bringing a new member of the Slater family to the soap in an attempt to boost ratings, according to the Sunday Mirror today.

Stacey Slater, cousin of Kat, Lynne, Little Mo and Zoe, arrives in Walford without any warning, and it's not long before she has thrown the Square into chaos.

Producers have promised that Stacey will be given some exciting new stories, which will leave her with a reputation as the Square's new superbitch.

16-year-old Lacey Turner, who plays Stacey, told the newspaper, "I was speechless when I found out that I had been cast as Stacey Slater, especially as I knew I would be working with Jessie Wallace, who is my favourite actress.

"I've watched the show since I was about four years old and I've always dreamt of being on it. I can't believe I've fulfilled my greatest ambition."

A show insider revealed, "Stacey makes sure everyone knows she has arrived after she lands on her uncle's doorstep.

"It doesn't take long before she has the boys wrapped round her little finger and starts causing trouble.

"All the Slater sisters have that feisty streak - but Stacey is the bitchiest of the bunch." Get the Inside Soap magazine on your iPhone or iPad
