Soaps Ratings Roundup: June 15

Coronation Street led yesterday evening's soap ratings battle with its first two episodes of the week.

The Weatherfield soap's double bill, which saw Rosie receive a visiting order from John before learning that he intends to hand over £150,000 as compensation for kidnapping her, averaged 8.85m (43%) and 8.22m (35.9%) at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.

Meanwhile, Max and Tanya's reunion in EastEnders was seen by 8.37m (37.8%) at 8pm. BBC Three's 10pm repeat added a further 680k (3.8%).

Emmerdale's screening, which featured the arrival of Faye's son Ryan, delivered 6.05m (31.9%) at 7pm.

Doctors' final episode before its annual summer break, titled 'Prejudice and Pride' drew 1.55m (23%) at 1.45pm.

Channel 4's outing of Hollyoaks at 6.30pm managed 1.52m (8.3%), while E4's first look 30 minutes later took 502k (2.9%).

Neighbours' transmission at 5.30pm, during which Susan issued Ringo with an ultimatum, attracted 1.42m (10.5%). Fiver's 7pm repeat added 216k (1.3%).

Five's edition of Home and Away in its standard 6pm time slot put in 1.12m (6.6%), before Fiver's first look had 623k (3.8%).
