
Coronation Street's double bill led the soap ratings battle on Friday evening, early figures show.
The Manchester programme's two episodes, during which Jesse met Eileen for a drink before they walked in on Jason and Tina romping on the Grimshaws' sofa, were seen by 7.4m (39%) and 7.59m (36.7%) respectively.
ITV2's repeats in the hour from 11.30pm added a further 283k (3%) and 303k (4.4%).
Meanwhile, 6.89m (35.5%) tuned in to EastEnders' final episode of the week, which featured a special mention of Michael Jackson's death that was filmed only hours before transmission. BBC Three's 10pm repeat added 553k (3%).

Neighbours' outing at 5.30pm logged 1.22m (9.3%), while Fiver's repeat showing added a further 168k (1%) at 7pm.
Channel 4's screening of Hollyoaks, in which the students celebrated their graduation, put in 1.13m (6.7%) at 6.30pm. E4's first look drew its lowest audience since the end of April, pulling in a mere 375k (2.3%).
Home and Away's 6pm edition on Five interested 982k (6.1%), before Fiver's first look averaged 480k (3.2%).
