Corrie star "storms out in anger"

"You can stuff your job" Jimmi Harkishin angrily informed Corrie director Duncan Foster yesterday before storming off the set.

The actor and director were apparently "not far from blows" over the disagreement, which centred around Jimmi's unwillingness to "cool it" over some other minor disagreements. This is said to have prompted Jimmi's response of "Cool it? You f***ing cool it. You can stuff your job, you can stuff the lot."

The actor, who plays Dev Alahan, proceeded to walk off the set in fury before reappearing hours later.

A spokesperson for the soap explained that "Emotions had been running high. There had been lots of difficult technical shoots and it is fair to say things were a little fraught.

"People in general had been working very long hours — not just Jimmi — and it was decided to bring a halt to the filming."

Hours are particularly long and stressful at the moment due to filming of spectacular scenes of attempted arson involving Dev and his fiance, Sunita (Shobna Gulati).
