Soaps Ratings Roundup: June 30

Emmerdale took a narrow overall lead in the soap ratings last night, while EastEnders just nudged its rival in the head-to-head.

Emmerdale's weekly hour-long episode, during which Lexi collapsed suffering an ectopic pregnancy, was seen by 5.33m (30.1%) at 7pm.

EastEnders' instalment at 7.30pm, meanwhile, in which Heather and Minty had their marriage annulled, attracted 5.3m (28.6%).

During the clash period from 7.30pm, Emmerdale's audience dipped slightly to 5.04 (27.2%).

BBC Three's 10pm repeat of EastEnders added a further 1.15m (6.5%).

Neighbours' outing at 5.30pm on Five averaged 1.33m (11.1%), while Fiver's repeat at 7pm added 178k (1.2%).

Channel 4's screening of Hollyoaks, during which the new character of Wade was introduced to the teen fold, was watched by 1.31m (7.9%) at 6.30pm.

E4's first look had 442k (2.9%) at 7pm. Its timeshift repeat on E4+1 added 110k (0.6%).

Home and Away's offering at 6pm, in which Angelo's life was hanging in the balance, drew 1.07m (7.1%). Fiver's first look put in 483k (3.3%).
