'Hollyoaks' takes ratings dive to 930k

Channel 4 teen soap Hollyoaks dipped to what is believed to be its lowest ever audience last night, logging figures below the million mark.

The teen serial, which usually attracts an average of around 1.5m, managed a mere 930k (4.8%) for its 6.30pm episode on Channel 4 which featured Warren's funeral.

Its last low was seen on May 5, 2008 when it averaged 1.02m (7.3%).

Last night's first look on E4, meanwhile, had 392k (2.5%) at 7pm.

ITV's Coronation Street double bill led yesterday's soap ratings with 7.57m (40.8%) and 7.65m (38.1%) tuning in for Maria's birth and the aftermath at 7.30pm and 8.30pm respectively.

ITV2's repeats in the hour from 11pm added a further 228k (1.8%) and 215k (2.2%).

EastEnders held strong with its final screening of the week. An average of 7.34m (39.1%) saw Roxy make another pass at Jack in her sister Ronnie's absence. BBC Three's 10pm repeat added 597k (3.4%)

Emmerdale's instalment put in 5.55m (31.1%) at 7pm on ITV1.

Five's outing of Neighbours at 5.30pm also fell below a million, taking 961k (5.7%). Fiver's repeat at 7pm put in 150k (0.9%).

Home and Away's 6pm edition on Five had 849k (4.5%), before Fiver's first look took 380k (2.2%).
