Archie Mitchell's return draws 7.4m
EastEnders was the most-watched soap yesterday, with an average of 7.4m tuning in to see Archie Mitchell walk back into Peggy's life.

The penultimate episode of the week interested 7.39m (38.7%) at 7.30pm. BBC Three's 10pm repeat added a further 801k (4.5%).

Meanwhile, Emmerdale's 7pm screening, during which the Dingles burgled Pollard's factory, was seen by 5.77m (32.2%).

Doctors' daily offering at 1.45pm, titled 'Dummy', had 1.54m (21.7%).

Channel 4's 6.30pm edition of Hollyoaks, during which Ash's deceit was exposed, was watched by 1.45m (8.7%), while E4's first look had 474k (3%). Its timeshift repeat on E4+1 put in a further 160k (0.9%).

Neighbours logged 1.41m (10.9%) at 5.30pm. Fiver's 7pm repeat added 235k (1.5%).

Five's outing of Home and Away at 6pm delivered 1.17m (7.5%), before Fiver's first look interested 578k (3.9%) half an hour later.
