EastEnders led Tuesday night's soap ratings, early figures show.

The Walford soap's second episode of the week, during which Whitney's 'stalker' finally revealed his true identity to the troubled teen, was seen by 8.02m (39.5%) at 7.30pm. BBC Three's repeat at 10pm added a further 644k (3.6%).

Emmerdale's outing, which saw John ask Andy for help on the farm, averaged 5.92m (30.9%) at 7pm.

BBC One's offering of Doctors at 1.45pm, titled 'Gentlemen's Excuse Me', put in 1.6m (20.7%).

Hollyoaks' screening at 6.30pm drew 1.58m (8.6%), before E4's 7pm first look had 481k (2.8%). E4+1's timeshift repeat added 113k (0.6%).

Five's instalment of Neighbours, which saw Paul being questioned over Jill's death, was watched by 1.52m (11%) at 5.30pm. Fiver's repeat at 7pm added 193k (1.1%).

Home and Away averaged 1.16m (6.8%) at 6pm, while Fiver's first look interested 564k (3.4%).
