Coronation Street will air a mammoth eight times in one week later this month.
The top-rated soap normally airs just five times weekly: once on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays and twice on Mondays.
ITV today announced extra episodes for the 10pm slot on Monday, Wednesday and Friday on November 22, 24 and 26 respectively.
The Corrie blitz is part of ITV's strategy to raise its target audience share in the wake of a poor summer ratings performance.
