Emmerdale's midweek outing led last night's soap ratings, according to early figures.

The Yorkshire soap's standalone Wednesday episode, which saw Val seduce Rodney, pulled in 6.25m (34.3%) at 7pm.

BBC One's edition of Doctors, titled 'What Will Be, Will Be' attracted 1.5m (18.6%) in its usual 1.45pm timeslot.

Malachy's accident at the Loft building site in Hollyoaks during yesterday's Channel 4 instalment was seen by 1.41m (8%), while Channel 4+1's timeshift repeat added 128k (0.8%).

E4's first look screening at 7pm logged 473k (2.9%), before E4+1's repeat drew 151k (0.8%).

Five's showing of Neighbours, during which Sunny and Donna kissed, interested 1.4m (10.6%) at 5.30pm. Fiver's repeat outing at 7pm put in 178k (1.1%).

Home and Away managed 1.04m (6.4%) at 6pm, before Fiver's first look averaged 470k (3%).
