Michelle Collins 'would do soap again'

Former EastEnders actress Michelle Collins has admitted that she would not rule out another stint in soap.

The 46-year-old, who starred as Cindy Beale on and off for ten years between 1988 and 1998, joked that she could return to the Walford soap from beyond the grave or would quite happily appear on rival ITV soap Coronation Street.

She told Bang Showbiz: "I wouldn't turn my back on doing a soap again - I'm open to all things as long as they feel right. Cindy's dead but you never know - she could come back from the grave."

She added: "Failing that, I'd like a stint in Coronation Street."

Collins recently auditioned for a part in ABC's Desperate Housewives. She has since been asked to return for a second meeting.
