Coronation Street's final double bill of the week led the soap ratings on Friday evening, averaging 7.2m and 7.5m.

The Weatherfield serial's two episodes, which saw Joe break into the medial centre and Rosie have cross words with Michelle over Luke, were seen by 7.22m (40.5%) and 7.54m (37.6%) at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.

ITV2's repeats in the hour from 11.20pm added a further 216k (2.3%) and 244k (3.5%) respectively.

BBC One's screening of EastEnders, during which Owen vowed to obtain forgiveness from Denise and Libby, logged 7.13m (38%) at 8pm. BBC Three's 10pm repeat was the most-watched multichannel programme of the day, averaging 725k (4.2%).

Meanwhile, Natasha's return from her holiday in Emmerdale was watched by 5.7m (35.1%) at 7pm.

Former EastEnders actress Angela Wynter's guest appearance in yesterday's outing of Doctors, titled 'Bit Of A Pickle' pulled in 1.37m (18.2%) at 1.45pm.

Five's edition of Neighbours interested 1.28m (11.3%) at 5.30pm, while Fiver's repeat slipped below the 100k mark, attracting a mere 98k (0.7%) - its lowest audience since August 22 last year, when it had only 84k (0.6%).

Cindy and Darren's resolve to con Tony and Hannah during last night's episode of Hollyoaks drew 1.18m (7.8%). E4's first look put in 455k (3.1%).
