EastEnders was the most-watched soap yesterday, overnight figures show.

The BBC soap's second instalment of the week, during which Peggy held a speed dating event at The Vic, pulled in 7.13m (38%) at 7.30pm.

BBC Three's repeat, meanwhile, logged its highest audience since July 14, drawing 911k (5.2%) at 10pm.

Emmerdale's outing at 7pm, which saw Faye confront Mark and Natasha, attracted 5.78m (33.4%).

Doctors' edition, titled 'Hot Milk and Buttershock', put in 1.43m (21.1%) in its usual timeslot of 1.45pm.

Declan and Bridget's wedding in Neighbours was witnessed by 1.21m (10.4%) at 5.30pm, before Fiver's repeat added a further 280k (1.8%).

Channel 4's episode of Hollyoaks, which featured Daniel interviewing prospective adoptive parents for baby Lucas, managed 1.2m (7.7%) at 6.30pm.

E4's first look had 459k (2.9%) at 7pm, while its timeshift repeat on E4+1 added 139k (0.7%).
