'All My Children' cast given LA ultimatum

Last week, ABC Daytime president Brian Frons informed the cast of the move and reportedly told them that the programme will go with or without its stars.
While a handful of current names including Aiden Turner (Aidan Devane), Melissa Claire Egan (Annie Lavery) and Jacob Young (JR Chandler) have decided to move with the series, the remainder of the show's 24-member cast are yet to make a final decision about their futures.
"I'm not sure what I'm going to do," Thorsten Kaye (Zach Slater) told the New York Daily News. "I'm not the kind of dad who wants to be 3,000 miles away from my kids. And it's not exactly the best time to sell real estate."
All My Children icon Susan Lucci (Erica Kane) refused to confirm whether or not she is planning to move to Los Angeles.
"For everyone involved, big decisions have to be made," she told Live! With Regis and Kelly. "I'm a New Yorker and I love, love, love New York. I don't know what I'm going to do. I am trying to wrap my mind around it.
"Clearly, I love All My Children. I want very, very much to be able to… I just don't know how yet. It's all still very new."
Meanwhile, Canada's TV Guide reports that the soap's veteran actors are planning a revolt in order to keep it at its current home.
"We're all banding together and threatening to quit to keep the show in New York," the unnamed star told column The Suds Report.
