Emmerdale was the most-watched soap last night, early figures show.

Its midweek outing, during which Ryan was left fuming by Katie's admission during their date, was watched by 6.45m (33.9%) at 7pm.

Meanwhile, BBC One's episode of Doctors, titled 'Clowntime Is Over', had 1.74m (22.6%) at 1.45pm.

Neighbours' outing on Five at its usual time of 5.30pm averaged 1.47m (11%), while Fiver's repeat added 246k (1.4%) at 7pm.

Channel 4's screening of Hollyoaks, which featured the teens breaking into school for their GCSE results, drew 1.39m (7.7%), before its timeshift repeat on Channel 4+1 added 140k (0.8%).

E4's first look looked 477k (2.8%) and its repeat an hour later on E4+1 took 115k (0.6%).
