BBC daytime medical drama Doctors was the most-watched soap yesterday, overnight figures show.

The episode, titled 'Basic Instincts', which saw Simon share his first kiss with Todd, was seen by 1.5m (19.6%) at 1.45pm.

Karl's suspension from work during last night's Neighbours, meanwhile, was seen by 1.41m (9.7%) at 5.30pm. Fiver's 7pm repeat added 246k (1.4%).

Channel 4's screening of Hollyoaks averaged 1.35m (7.3%) at 6.30pm, while its timeshift repeat on Channel 4+1 added 101k (0.5%).

E4's first look managed 489k (2.7%), before E4+1's repeat interested a further 116k (0.6%).

Home and Away's bomb explosion aftermath was seen by 1.13m (6.4%) at 6pm. Fiver's first look took 524k (3.1%).
