New actor for Adam Baldwin in Corrie

A new actor has been cast to play Mike Baldwin's son in Coronation Street.

Newcomer Sam Robertson takes over the role from Iain De Caestecker, who has played Adam since 2001.

The character, who has been away at boarding school in Scotland, returns to the cobbles on New Year's Eve and immediately hits it off with Sarah at a party at the Rovers.

Soon after he decides that he's enjoying his time in Weatherfield too much to return to Scotland, much to his grandfather Ken's dismay.
