Corrie ratings knocked by 'Strictly'
Coronation Street took a knock in the ratings on Friday night after going up against the launch of Strictly Come Dancing on BBC One.

The Weatherfield soap's double bill at 7.30pm and 8.30pm - which featured Ramsay's funeral and Jack's departure from the street - was seen by 8m (29.8%) and 6.59m (28.3%), the show's lowest 8.30pm audience since July 12.

ITV2's repeat from 12.30am added 211k (4.9%) and 215k (7.3%).

Strictly Come Dancing, meanwhile, was the most-watched programme of the day, with 8.44m (35.7%) between 8.30pm and 10pm.

EastEnders' final outing of the week, during which the police questioned Denise about Trina's death, was the most-watched soap of the day, drawing 8.13m (38.4%) at 8pm. BBC Three's 10pm repeat was the most-watched multichannel programme of the day, adding a further 604k (3.2%).

ITV's Emmerdale offering took 5.91m (33.1%) at 7pm.

Doctors' episode, titled 'Last Supper In Suburbia', was seen by 1.36m (20.6%) at 1.45pm.

Hollyoaks' non-linear week bowed out to 1.31m (8.1%) for its 6.30pm episode, before Channel 4+1's timeshift repeat added 117k (0.6%). E4's first look had 440k (2.7%).

Five's Neighbours put in 1.28m (10.1%) at 5.30pm, while Fiver's repeat interested 177k (1.1%) at 7pm.

Home and Away dipped below the million mark again, as Belle's penultimate episode was seen by 921k (6%) at 6pm. Fiver's first look managed 505k (3.4%).
