Rex Features

Warner Brothers is considering a revival of classic 1980s soap Dallas, reports The New York Times.

The remake, which will screen on cable network TNT if it goes ahead, will reportedly focus on the next generation of the wealthy Ewing family.

It is believed that original cast members including Larry Hagman (J.R. Ewing), Patrick Duffy (Bobby Ewing) and Linda Gray (Sue Ellen Ewing) have agreed to participate.

Dallas originally ran for 13 seasons from 1978 to 1991.
