Soaps Ratings Roundup: October 14

Emmerdale led the soaps ratings last night, according to early viewing figures.

The rural soap's midweek outing, during which tension mounted between Nikhil and Jai, drew 6.6m (32.8%) to ITV1.

BBC One's edition of Doctors, titled 'The Romantics', averaged 1.58m (23%) at 1.45pm.

Hollyoaks' screening at 6.30pm on Channel 4, which saw Leila, Ravi and Anita throw a house party, interested 1.39m (7.3%), before Channel 4+1's timeshift repeat added 172k (0.9%). E4's first look took 432k (2.3%).

Donna's attempt to find her father in Neighbours, meanwhile, was seen by 1.54m (11%) at 5.30pm on Five, while a further 282k (1.5%) tuned in for Fiver's 7pm repeat.

Home and Away put in 1.12m (6.6%) at 6pm on Five. Fiver's first look, which aired at 6.30pm, attracted 470k (2.7%).
