Coronation Street was the most-watched soap on Friday night, according to the latest viewing figures.

The ITV soap's final two episodes of the week, during which Luke conned Rosie before Maria and Tony were caught privately celebrating their news, were watched by 7.8m (37.9%) and 8.7m (38.3%) at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.

ITV2's repeat in the hour from 12.45am added 127k (2.7%) and 112k (3.3%).

Sam and Jack's passionate kiss during EastEnders was seen by 8.02m (37.2%) at 8pm, while a further 524k (2.8%) tuned in for BBC Three's 10pm repeat.

Emmerdale's episode, in which Mark and Faye grew closer, had 6.31m (33.5%) from 7pm.

BBC One's daily dose of Doctors, titled 'Leaving God', logged 1.58m (23.6%) in its usual 1.45pm timeslot.

Five's episode of Neighbours, which saw Lucas try to win Elle back, managed 1.39m (10.4%) at 5.30pm, while Fiver's 7pm repeat added 222k (1.2%).

Hollyoaks' final edition of the week averaged 1.33m (7.1%) at 6.30pm. E4's first look had 283k (1.6%).

Home and Away finished the week with 1.1m (6.5%) tuning in at 6pm. Fiver's first look instalment had 505k (2.9%).
