The BBC soap's second instalment of the week, which saw Archie and Janine settle on their plot to torch The Vic, pulled in 8.73m (38.9%) at 7.30pm. BBC Three's repeat at 10pm added a further 816k (4.4%). and was the most-watched multichannel programme of the day.
David's fruitless marriage proposal in Emmerdale was seen by 7.01m (33.2%) at its usual time of 7pm.
Doctors' offering, titled 'Blind Faith' logged 1.8m (24.3%).
Fiver's offering of Neighbours at 5.30pm managed 1.64m (10%), while Fiver's 7pm repeat added 197k (1%).

E4's first look interested 464k (2.3%), while a further 116k (0.5%) tuned in for the repeat on E4+1.
Home and Away's screening at 6pm on Five drew 1.26m (6.4%). Fiver's first look averaged 637k (3.2%).
