Lily Allen's 'Neighbours' cameo seen by 1.7m

Five's screening of Lily Allen's Neighbours cameo last night was watched by 1.7m, early figures show.

The episode, in which the '22' singer popped into the PirateNet studios, averaged 1.65m (10.4%) at 5.30pm. Fiver's 7pm repeat added 250k (1.3%).

Meanwhile, EastEnders' second episode of the week, which saw Pat rumble Peggy and Archie's rekindled romance, topped the day's ratings with 8.7m (39%) at 7.30pm.

BBC Three's 10pm repeat added a further 874k (4.8%) and was the most-watched multichannel programme of the day.

Emmerdale's outing, during which Nathan punched David, had 7.06m (33.5%) at 7pm.

Daytime medical drama Doctors drew 1.7m (22%) at 1.45pm on BBC One for its episode titled 'Shackled'.

Hollyoaks' offering at 6.30pm averaged 1.66m (8.1%), while a further 425k (2.1%) tuned in for E4's first look at 7pm.

Home and Away's instalment managed 1.16m (6.1%), while Fiver's first look took 523k (2.7%).
