The Manchester soap's double bill - which saw Roy and Hayley
ITV2's repeats from 12.10am added 171k (2.7%) and 151k (3.3%) respectively.
EastEnders' outing, in which Owen was arrested for breaching his licence, pulled in 8.22m (35.6%) at 8pm. BBC Three's 10pm repeat added 750k (4%) and was the most-watched multichannel programme of the day.
Emmerdale's offering averaged 7.34m (33.9%) at 7pm.

Hollyoaks was seen by 1.43m (6.8%) at its usual time of 6.30pm on Channel 4, before E4's first look took 340k (1.7%).
Five's episodes of Neighbours and Home and Away managed 1.39m (8.2%) and 1.02m (5.1%) respectively in the hour from 5.30pm.
Fiver's first look Home and Away interested 467k (2.4%), before 176k (0.9%) tuned in for the 7pm Neighbours repeat.
