EastEnders led the soap ratings on Tuesday night, logging just over 8.6m for its second instalment of the week.

The Walford soap's episode, which saw Bianca and Sam scrap in The Vic, pulled in 8.62m (38.3%) at 7.30pm. BBC Three's 10pm repeat added a further 601k (3.3%).

Emmerdale's outing, during which Sally contemplated smothering Laurel, drew 7.14m (33.4%) at its usual time of 7pm.

BBC One's screening of Doctors, titled 'Joan of Park', managed 1.82m (26%) at 1.45pm.

Hollyoaks' offering put in 1.61m (7.8%) at 6.30pm, before E4's first look had 449k (2.2%) half an hour later. Its timeshift repeat added 102k (0.5%) on E4+1.

Five's Neighbours averaged 1.54m (9.4%) at 5.30pm, before Home and Away took 1m (5.2%) at 6pm.

Fiver's first look at Home and Away interested 523k (2.7%) at 6.30pm, while a further 189k (0.9%) tuned in for Neighbours' repeat at 7pm.
