Coronation Street led the soap ratings on Friday, according to overnight figures.

The Weatherfield soap's final two episodes of the week, during which Maria struggled to deal with Tony's confession and the Connors returned to the Street, pulled in 7.92m (32.8%) and 7.5m (29.1%) at 7.30pm and 8.30pm respectively.

ITV2's repeats added 132k (3.3%) and 148k (4.7%) in the hour from 1.05am.

Emmerdale, meanwhile, averaged its lowest audience since September 25, managing 6.03m (26.6%) from 7pm.

BBC One's episode of Doctors, titled 'Nowhere To Run' drew 1.85m (25.6%) at 1.45pm.

Lydia's ongoing manipulation of Charlotte during Hollyoaks interested 1.56m (7.5%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4, before E4's first look took 308k (1.4%).

Five's outing of Neighbours at 5.30pm put in 1.52m (9.1%), before Home and Away logged 1.02m (5.2%) half an hour later.

Fiver's Neighbours repeat added 124k (0.6%) at 7pm, while 489k (2.5%) tuned in for the first look at Monday's Home and Away.
