The double bill, which saw Carla return to Weatherfield, before being questioned by the police, pulled in 9.7m (41.1%) and 10.37m (42%) at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV1.
ITV2's repeats in the hour from 1.10am added 146k (7.2%) and 125k (8%).
BBC One's latest edition of EastEnders, in which Phil realised that he's in over his head with his financial situation, drew 8.97m (36.7%) from 8pm. BBC Three's repeat added a further 699k (3.6%).
Emmerdale's offering interested 7.33m (33.5%) at 7pm.

Channel 4's Hollyoaks attracted 1.62m (7.6%) for its first episode of the week, before its timeshift repeat added 108k (0.5%). E4's first look had 423k (2.1%), while E4+1's repeat was seen by an additional 117k (0.5%).
Five's Australian hour began at 5.30pm with 1.52m (9.4%) tuning in for Neighbours. Then, 1.17m (5.9%) caught Home and Away.
Fiver's first look at Home and Away managed 614k (3.1%) at 6.30pm, while 305k (1.5%) caught Neighbours' 7pm repeat.
