Emmerdale's midweek outing was the most-watched soap on Wednesday night, averaging around 6.8 million.

The Yorkshire soap's third episode of the week, in which Marlon confessed his true feelings to Moira, averaged 6.83m (32.5%) at 7pm.

Doctors' instalment at 1.45pm on BBC One, titled 'The Perfect Face For Radio' put in 1.61m (22.3%).

Loretta's decision to walk out on Jake during Channel 4's latest screening of Hollyoaks was seen by 1.58m (7.6%), while a further 164k (0.8%) tuned in for Channel 4+1's timeshift repeat.

E4's first look logged 511k (2.6%) and E4+1's repeat added 104k (0.5%).

Five's Neighbours averaged 1.5m (9.2%) at 5.30pm, before Home and Away had 1.13m (5.9%).

Fiver's first look at the next episode of the Summer Bay soap managed 562k (2.9%) from 6.30pm, before Neighbours' 7pm repeat added 226k (1.2%).
