Suranne Jones and Jonathan Wrather have split up after hooking up on the set of Coronation Street.
The former couple, who played Karen McDonald and Joe Carter, started dating in 2003 when he joined Corrie as her on-screen lover and have been together ever since apart from a brief break after Wrather left the soap.
The pair went on a two-month holdiay to Australia in order to save their relationship but it didn't go as well as they had hoped, reports The Sun. Wrather told the newspaper: "It has been a difficult time. We are still trying to work things out."
Jones is set to appear alongside Ray Winstone as a private eye in ITV's Vincent.
