Coronation Street's midweek offering led the soap ratings last night, early figures show.

The ITV soap's 8pm instalment, in which Becky became curious about Steve's whereabouts, was watched by 8.82m (37.3%) at 8pm.

Emmerdale's hour-long offering, which saw Laurel rumble Sally's sick game, logged 7.56m (34.9%).

BBC One's daily dose of Doctors, titled 'Food, Love and Money', drew 1.74m (24.4%) at 1.45pm.

Zoe's day in court during yesterday's Hollyoaks was seen by 1.56m (7.5%) at 6.30pm, before E4's first look at the verdict averaged 618k (3.1%).

Five's Australian hour began at 5.30pm with 1.41m (8.6%) tuning in for Neighbours. Home and Away then had 1.05m (5.5%) at 6pm.

Fiver's first look at Home and Away took 517k (2.7%) at 6.30pm, before 259k (1.3%) stayed for Neighbours' 7pm repeat.
