Corrie's Sean to get a boyfriend

Coronation Street's Sean Tully is to get an on-screen boyfriend, the Sunday Mirror claims today.

The new storyline comes after producers offered Antony Cotton, who plays Sean, a new contract, following the success of his character with viewers.

Old flame Louis, played by Nick Moss, will turn up on the Street to tell Sean that a dog they bought together has died.

An insider told the newspaper, "Sean is beside himself with grief and this eventually brings the couple close together again."

"Antony has been incredibly popular with viewers who say they would dearly love for Sean to have a relationship, and Corrie bosses have responded," the insider said.
