Corrie's Katy and Tyrone dating

Coronation Street stars Alan Halsall (Tyrone Dobbs) and Lucy-Jo Hudson (Katy Harris) are dating, according to The Mirror today.

The pair have apparently been trying to keep their romance a secret since sharing a kiss at a Christmas party. They have managed to throw their friends off the scent by driving to work in their own cars, despite spending every night this week together.

A spokesperson for ITV said, "Yes, they are an item and everyone is delighted for them."

One source explained, "They've done their best to keep it quiet and that has meant them coming and going to the studios separately to avoid wagging tongues."

"Alan's a smashing lad and Lucy-Jo seems really friendly. She gave a big smile the other day as she got into her car still reading her scripts for the day!"

They are not the first couple to fall in love on the set of the soap. Nikki Sanderson (Candice Stowe) and Danny Young (Warren Baldwin) are also dating, while Tina O'Brien (Sarah Louise Platt) has been with Ryan Thomas (Jason Grimshaw) for a year.
