Australian actress Andrea McEwan is joining Coronation Street as a love rival to Sally Webster.
McEwan will play Lisa Ditchfield, who will compete for the attention of Sally's lover Ian Davenport, while Sally is away on holiday. Cheating Sally is furious when Ian brings in Lisa to cover her duties at Davenport's Garage while she is away.
A source told The Sun, "Sally tells Ian that her daughter knows about their affair and they have to sort things out. But as usual, he leaves her dangling."
McEwan played the role of clumsy Coffee Shop worker Penny Watts in Neighbours for a guest stint in 2002.
