Gillian Taylforth has revealed that she would consider returning to EastEnders.

Tabloid reports earlier this year claimed that Gillian, who played Kathy Beale, had been offered a £200,000 contract to return to the soap.

"I had some great years in EastEnders and would never say never about going back," Gillian told the Sunday Mirror. "I would consider it if the storyline was good enough. Kathy is in South Africa at the moment so they would need a good reason to bring her back.

"I love doing Footballers' Wives too and am in discussions about doing another series. I'm also due to appear as a guest lead in the TV show New Tricks and I've also filmed a drama called Jane Hall's Big Bad Bus Ride which will be shown later this year. That has some sex scenes in it too.

"I'm just going to wait and see what happens."
