'Enders cast unhappy about Mitchells?

Both Kemp and McFadden have signed contracts which give them the freedom to work elsewhere. Ross will film a new series of Ultimate Force for ITV, while Steve will perform in a pantomime over the Christmas period.
"This has sparked a real feeling of anger from many stars," a source told the newspaper.
"In the past this would never have happened. If you signed to EastEnders then that was your life. Many established names will look at this and try to amend their deals so they can do film and other TV work.
"EastEnders supremos should expect a queue at their door with actors using Ross in particular as their new benchmark. After all, he has had the rule book ripped up and been allowed to do whatever he wants."
Shane Richie, who plays Alfie Moon, decided to quit in order to pursue other roles. Other stars, including Nigel Harman and Jessie Wallace, have been forced to turn down offers of work.
A spokesman for the show insisted, "All of the cast are delighted Ross and Steve are returning and don't have problems with deals in their own contracts."
