She was hoping to play the part of a new nurse - Naomi Sullivan - who was due to arrive on our screens in the Summer.
An EastEnders insider told DS: "It is not yet known who will assume the new role, but it definitely won't be Imogen."
"Casting for the part has already taken place," the insider added. "Imogen did attend but hasn't been approached since."
