Another 'Neighbours' star leaving?

Neighbours cast member Natalie Bassingthwaighte may be considering leaving the soap.

The actress, who plays scheming Izzy Hoyland, has hinted that she wants to try new things once her contract with the show expires next year.

"Am I going to resign? I've had an amazing time and, while it's great to have a regular income and live a normal life, if you stay in one spot too long you get rusty," Bassingthwaighte explained.

"You never know how you'll feel at a particular time in the future, but I will probably move on. What I'm thinking now is, what's next?"

Speaking to Australia's OK! magazine, Natalie added, "We're just actors. Someone told me their friends chuck things at the screen when Izzy comes on, and you find people checking you up and down to see if you really are a nice person."

As Bassingthwaighte's contract with the Australian soap does not expire until July next year, fans can still expect to see Izzy on their screens for some time yet.
