'Casualty' star quits for husband
Casualty star Sarah Manners has spoken about her decision to quit the show.

The actress, who plays receptionist Bex, was growing tired of being apart from her husband, computer salesman Ben O'Sullivan.

While Sarah had to spend most of her time living in a flat opposite BBC studios in Bristol, Ben was based in London for business reasons.

"It's nice to be playing the wife for a change," Manners told The Mirror.

"I hated the horrible feeling of waking up on a Sunday morning and knowing I had to go away again. Towards the end we'd both had enough and I couldn't wait to come home. Now the thought of having to go away again to film actually makes me feel sick.

"My career took off after we met six years ago, so I've been away most of the time. We got used to it - we'd argue when I first came home after a few months away because we were adjusting to spending time together.

"I love acting - it's all I've ever wanted to do. But I don't want it to be detrimental to my relationship with my husband.

"There's not many good men out there but I've got one and I'm not letting go of him."
