Soaps Ratings Roundup: July 12

Coronation Street returned to top form on a wet Monday evening, according to overnight data.

Nick Tilsley's world falling apart entertained 7.94m (37.8%) at 7.30pm, while 8.8m (38.5%) returned an hour later, handing the serial its best figures since early last month. Meanwhile, 232k (1.1%) and 286k (1.3%) watched in HD.

EastEnders, which saw Lucas identify Denise's body, averaged 8.67m (38.2%), and BBC Three's catch-up added a further 901k (4.4%).

Earlier in the evening, Emmerdale - which centred around Diane's attempts to sell The Woolpack - further boosted ITV1 with 6.19m (33.3%).

Louretta's monstrous secret in Hollyoaks was witnessed by 1.24m (7%). E4's first look took 523k (2.8%).

Over on Five, Neighbours logged 1.3m (9.5%), then Home and Away put in 903k (5.5%). Fiver's first look appealed to 523k (2.8%).

Elsewhere, a 'Gibberish' episode of Doctors managed 1.46m (20.7%).
