Emmerdale was the most-watched soap yesterday evening, according to overnight figures.

The rural show's midweek outing, which saw Maisie find new evidence on her phone, attracted 6.70m and a 33.5% share.

Meanwhile, yesterday's Hollyoaks, which featured a robbery at Chez Chez, interested 1.20m (6.6%) in its usual 6.30pm slot on Channel 4. Afterwards, 392k (2.0%) tuned in for E4's first look screening.

Neighbours appealed to 1.16m (8.3%) at 5.30pm on Five, while Fiver's 7pm repeat added a further 101k (0.5%).

The latest screening of Doctors, titled 'Rock-a-bye Baby', secured 1.55m (20.3%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
