EastEnders was the most-watched soap yesterday evening, early figures show.

The latest episode, which saw Jane finding out about Lucy's abortion, attracted 7.92m (37.3%) at 7.30pm on BBC One. Later, a further 1.01m (4.9%) tuned in at 10pm for BBC Three's repeat screening.

Meanwhile, ITV's Coronation Street pulled in 7.55m (32.%) at 8.30pm for Becky's angry confrontation with half-sister Kylie.

Emmerdale's 7pm screening interested 6.55m (33.3%), while 6.58m (29.5%) saw the show's second outing of the evening at 8pm.

Channel 4's Hollyoaks appealed to 1.19m (6.4%) at 6.30pm, before 586k (3.0%) tuned in at 7pm to see Cindy's change of heart in E4's first look.

Neighbours was watched by 1.16m (8.3%) at 5.30pm on Five, while the show's 7pm repeat on Fiver secured 84k (0.4%).

BBC One's Doctors was seen by 1.60m (20.3%) at 1.45pm.
