Ex 'Corrie' star denies rape charge

Former Coronation Street star Chris Quinten has pleaded not guilty to the charge of raping a young woman in a club in central London.
The 48-year-old was accused of raping a twenty year old woman in the 10 room nightclub on June 25 and appeared in court only to enter his name and his plea. He has been bailed to reappear in court on June 5, 2006.
Chris Quinten played Brian Tilsley in Coronation Street for 11 years before leaving to pursue a career in Hollywood.
