A Brazilian actress has been cast in the role of Grant Mitchell's new wife in EastEnders.
Christianne Oliveira will play the part of Carla Mitchell, who arrives with Grant (Ross Kemp) and his daughter Courtney in the coming months. Carla and Courtney's relationship does not always run smoothly as both vie to be the centre of Grant's attention.
"It is a real delight to be invited to work on such a well-known show," said Oliveira. "I have been a fan of Ross' work for many years now so working with him will be a true pleasure."
Oliveira has previously appeared in Chocolat and Night & Day.
