Corrie actor films final scenes
Johnny Briggs has filmed his final scene on Coronation Street, having worked on the soap for 30 years.

Briggs, who has played factory boss Mike Baldwin since 1976, received gifts from cast and crew after shooting was finished.

A spokeswoman from Granada explained: "Hundreds of people came along to say goodbye to Johnny. He had drinks with the cast and crew and was presented with some gifts including a case of red wine and his last script, signed by the entire cast."

Briggs' final scenes were with his screen family, played by Bad Girls' Debra Stephenson, Bradley Walsh and Rupert Hill. The scenes will air in April.
