EastEnders increased its audience on Thursday evening, but Coronation Street and Emmerdale both lost viewers, overnight data has revealed.

On EastEnders, 8.43m (37.4%) tuned in on BBC One from 7.30pm, up 400k week-on-week, as Roxy and Glenda were caught out by Phil. A further 805k (3.9%) watched BBC Three's repeat screening from 10pm.

Coronation Street pulled in 8.54m (34.1%) on ITV1 from 8.30pm, down 500k week-on-week, as Frank made a move on Maria. An additional 175k (0.7%) watched the episode on ITV1+1.

The Emmerdale double - focused on Nicola's reunion with Jimmy and Cain's growing jealousy over Charity - averaged 7.55m (34.9%) for ITV1 from 7pm, down 500k week-on-week, and 7.76m (32.7%) from 8pm, down 230k week-on-week. The episodes fetched 56k (0.2%) and 177k (0.7%) respectively on +1.

Elsewhere, Hollyoaks brought in 1.25m (6%) on Channel 4 from 6.30pm and 37k (0.2%) on +1. E4's first look mustered 444k (2.1%) from 7pm and 80k (0.3%) on timeshift.

Earlier in the day, Doctors took 1.67m (22.7%) on BBC One from 1.45pm, while Neighbours had 724k (9.7%) on Channel 5. The Neighbours repeat lured 1.2m (7.6%) from 5.30pm.

Home & Away pulled in 325k (4.9%) on Channel 5 from 2.15pm, before the repeat fetched 990k (4.2%) from 6pm. Fiver's first look at the next episode entertained 590k (2.8%) from 6.30pm.
