'Home & Away' leads race for Logies
Home & Away has clocked up eleven nominations for this year's Logies, the ceremony dubbed the Aussie equivalent of the US Emmys.

Among the nods are two for Kate Ritchie (Sally), marking the first time the actress has received a Logie nomination in eighteen years.

Ritchie will battle with Neighbours star Natalie Bassingthwaighte (Izzy) and TV personality Rove McManus, amongst others, for the coveted Gold Logie.

Other Home & Away stars in the running include Bec Hewitt, Ada Nicodemou, Chris Hemsworth and Joel McIlroy for Silver Logies.

Neighbours stars Dan O'Connor (Ned) and Pippa Black (Elle) are up for best male and female newcomer respectively.

The awards ceremony will be held in Melbourne on Sunday, May 7.
