Longoria defends 'Desperate Housewives'
Eva Longoria has defended Desperate Housewives, after the show came in for some criticism.

The actress blasted critics who claim the series has lost its original quality, claiming the second season is better than the first was.

At the DVD launch of the second series, she said: "I'm so proud of this DVD, because I think once you see it, you'll really realise how good season two was, instead of listening to critics, saying: 'Oh, they're in a slump. Oh, it wasn't like last year'.

"When you really look at the DVD, and, specifically, Gabrielle's storyline and Gabrielle's arc, there was so much there. This was, definitely, the best work I've ever done in my life."
