Roxanne Pallet recovering after car crash

Emmerdale star Roxanne Pallett is recovering at home after being hurt in a car crash.

The actress, who plays receptionist Jo Stiles, drove into a lamppost as she was making her way to work on Friday morning. Fortunately, she escaped without suffering serious injuries but does have some bruising.

Roxanne was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester before being allowed to return home yesterday.

A friend told the Sunday Mirror: "Roxanne's been really shaken up by the whole experience. She just feels grateful not to be seriously injured."

An Emmerdale spokesperson added: "We can confirm Roxanne was involved in a car accident on Friday morning. She was taken to hospital with bruising and kept in overnight as a precaution. She is resting at home and she'll return to work on Tuesday."
