Lucy-Jo Hudson thanks Corrie producers

The actress - best remembered for her Killer Katy storyline - has thanked the soap's producers for taking a chance and signing her up in 2002.
"I shall always be enormously grateful to Coronation Street," Lucy-Jo told The Mirror. "It's what made me and it's what got me the role in Wild At Heart. The producer of the show's first series, Ann Harrison- Baxter, says she woke up one morning and had a Eureka moment when casting Rosie.
"She said to herself 'Killer Katy' and that was it. So that storyline worked wonders for me, even if it was pretty painful at the time."
Hudson explained that it was extremely difficult to leave Katy's pain behind when she returned home each night after filming.
"I worked 12-hour days for six days a week for 12 weeks, and I was crying for most of that time," she said. "I'd come home from work virtually every day, and burst into tears for no reason at all."
